HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: Excellent all around machine. Easy to use. Easy to setup. Output quality is very good and when you factor in the overall speed of the machine, you get pretty good bang for your buck.

Weakness: One minor issue. It is a bit noisy (it's an inkjet).

Very good all around color All-in-One Device. The black and white output rivals my laser printer. The color quality for both pictures and paper are highly satisfactory. Excellent addition to my home office. Contrary to other reviews - I find the ink cartridges to be relatively cost effective.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: It does advertize itself as an all-in-one printer/fax/copier/scanner with photocard readability. Those do indeed work as advertised.

Weakness: However, it does not operate realiably while it is used as a computer printer. While I have always had an HP printer hooked up to my computer. For example a USB hookup with my previous Deskjet 632C.

This is the first HP product which has refused to work with its included USB hookup. It simply does not function even after unhooking all other USB devices. I had plenty of USB bandwidth left on all my ports but aparently not enough to allow it to function as all my previous USB printers have (Deskjet 632C and 540). So I would not recommend buying this unless you plan to order the optional...

HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: This All-In-One truly does it all and then some - fast, high quality output, with useful features. Excellent as standalone and/or with computer (under W2000 works great).

Weakness: USB connection only out of the box. I think HP's network add-on is way overpriced as most of their add-ons. Some functions are noisy.

This All-In-One beats the myth that separates perform better. Besides the convenience, space saving, and integration simplicity, this A/I/O device can beat separate devices on quality, features, and performance. The printer is comparable to my Epson Photo EX - very good quality and really fast output. The two-sided feature works, but it is noisy. The fax is great, integrated well with the home...

HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: The fastest and best-quality all-in-one printer out there

Weakness: The cost per page is very expensive

Color and Black/White printing quality is impressive and fast, although printing in photo mode is a little slow, but they are very good, both Black/White and Color. The scanner is very fast and it has great scanning quality also, and with the size of the scan bed you can scan big documents. The photocopier function is even faster and the document feeder saves a lot of work. And lets not forget...

HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: The printer so far has done just about everything I have asked to. I like the I idea that I can use it with the USB Port. The letters you would think it came from a laser printer. It scans most things great.

Weakness: Not much to complain about. Then only thing so far was I was scanning a business card on the glass and it would not pick up the left corner of the business card. Other than that is has work beauty.

The Fax portion works excellent too. I like the idea that when you scan something to fax it will also keeps a copy of what you have scan in that you may keep it for later. For a all round printer it is great. HP has come along way since the Office InkJet 600 Series which I had for 4 years.

Piece of Junk

Strengths: None

Weakness: Very slow, poor color print quality, Does not hold up. Expensive

I have had my D14 for about 1/2 years. Actually I am on my second one. First one died, and had to be replaced under waranty. After relatively sort period, color print quality became quite poor. Machine always jams. When I switched from Windows to Mac, softward downloaded from HP web site for Mac, was terrible. It hs been a huge frustration.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: This printer does everything but the dishes. The print quality is far greater than even I expected. It easily matches any quality you would receive from a photo shop. Highly recommended.

Weakness: Price!!! Should also include a parallel cable as standard shipped equipment.

Photo printing from a media card is extremely high quality. Cannot tell the difference from a photo shop picture. Even on plain paper, the print quality is much higher than expected. The only thing I would recommend is more options for picture layout, (5 X 7 w/ wallets, combination, etc.) Very easy to use, and much more printer than I had expected. Works much better than my old do it all, which...

HP (Hewlett-Packard) OfficeJet D145 All-In-One...

Strengths: Color copies are excellent, software is great that comes with the printer. Can copy without the computer on.

Weakness: Only a USB connection for hookup.

This is a great all around machine. I bought this for work and ended up keeping it at home. The photo copying comes out almost like the original.
