SanDisk 8GB Extreme Secure Digital High Capacity SDHC Card

Lots of memory in a small space!

Once I learned that my canon camera was SDHC compatible, there was no doubt that this was the top card out there that I had to get. I have not been disappointed with the reliability, speed and capacity of this card in my picture taking and movie making of our 5-month old. I would not hesitate to recommend this card to anyone with a SDHC compatible device - you won't be disappointed!

Weakness: Absolutely none!

This is absolutely best SDHC card I ever used! Fast 133x (20MB/sec) Sequential Read/Write Speeds are amazing. It can work in extreme environment: -13º F to 185º F (-25ºC - 85ºC). It also Comes with an USB 2.0 MicroMate reader. Limited manufacturer lifetime warranty is another big plus. Highly recommend. Again, this is the best SDHC you can get in the market!

Great SD Card

This is a great SD Card with very fast read write speeds. I just purchased with a new Digi Cam because I intend to record a good amount of video....the 8GB size is really good, it holds about 70 minutes or so of video at the highest setting. Sandisk Extreme III - 8GB SDHC

Strengths: Fast, large capacity, great price

Weakness: None

You can't beat Sandisk when it comes to quality memory products. The card is noticeably faster in my Canon SD950 than previous cards I have used. With ever larger files generated by today's digital cameras, high speed large capacity cards are a must and this is one of the best around.

Fast and Spacious

Strengths: Huge amount of memory for such a tiny card. Comes with a microadapter for USB transfers.

Weakness: Could have been Extreme IV, but I'm not complaining...

This is the fastest memory card I've ever used. There is almost zero wait time between shots and the moving of images from card to PC takes seconds. The included USB microadapter means you don't have to plug your camera in (saving batteries). Obviously, it can always be faster, but unless your camera supports 10+ fps shooting, you have nothing to worry about.

Got this SDHC card with rebate and at that price, it's hard to beat. It's very fast and comes with the reader. Maybe it's too small and is easy to lose compared to a CF card but that's the only downside I can think of. Great product. Highly recommended.

One Rugged card

Strengths: Realiable product

Weakness: Pricey

Sandisk makes some of the best flash memory cards. Extreme III series cards are very rugged and can withstand extremes of temperatures. I have used in my camcorder and never had any issues whatsoever. It comes with a nice USB card reader which comes in handy at times. It is towards costly side however with rebates n all, you might be able to get it for cheap. I strongly recommend it.

EXTREME III 8GB SD

Strengths: FAST

Weakness: N/A

I bought it for my Canon TX-1 to take high resolution video, it works great without any lagging. Now the problem will be the battery lifetime of TX-1. Good deal with rebate by Sandisk.

Great SD card!!!

Strengths: Huge capacity, excellent download speed, bonus card reader!

I have only ever owned Sandisk memory cards and have never had one fail or lost a picture to a faulty one. 8GB is huge!!! My camera is a 14.2MP camera and I still get over 320 RAW images on one card. You could literally store thousands of pix on this card depending on your sensor size and quality settings. Highly recommended for any camera!

I don't have SLR digital camera, I use it on my Canon SD800IS, which I cannot notice the performance. However, the transfer rate to PC is much faster than my old 1GB SD card. I am not sure if it is the card or the free card reader that makes transfer rate faster. Maybe both are essential.
