Bean bag dash mount works awesome

Strengths: Great for any GPS. Works great.

Weakness: None

Love it! Also own the Garmin branded bean bag mat for my Nuvi. Bought this one for my Magellan and it works just as well. Honestly the Garmin unit which is probally a few ounces heavier is not worth the extra exense to be honest. Easy to use and install. Doesn't fly off the dash (then again I don't corner like mad man or own a Porsche). I would highly recommend the product as it allows for easy...

A great product

Strengths: Heavy. Stable on the dash board. Not expensive.

Weakness: Ugly.

I bought this small dashboard mount just because my Tomtom GPS always fell off from the windshield on the road. Now the problem is solved. The mount is heavy and very stable on my car dash board. However, it looks ugly. It\\\'s a solution but not perfect. By the way, it\\\'s cheap compared to the other similar products and the price is dropping. I bought it at $22 almost two months ago and now...

Fantastic!

Strengths: Stable, simple to use, works well, keeps your GPS safe

Weakness: Not all that pretty

This is a must purchase for anyone with a GPS. It makes stashing your GPS out of sight simple. Plus, it makes the GPS easier to use, since you can position it right where you want it regardless of how your windshield is situated. Very stable. Be sure to clean the mounting plate and your GPS suction cup with alcohol prior to use to get the most secure attachment.

Nav Mat

Strengths: Portable, non-skid, transportable between vehicles, easily hidden to avoid thefts.

Weakness: None

I bought this to use between 2 vehicles as I didn't want something that was more permanent mounted in the vehicle nor did I want to affix a suction cup to the windshield. This is a great device. With its non-skid bottom, it just sits wherever you place it. I have not had it move even a bit during starting, stopping or driving. Another great benefit is that you can quickly remove it and it leaves...

Great Product with Minor Flaws

Strengths: Very stable, Doesn't move even when cornering and braking pretty hard. Keeps you from having suction cup marks on your windshield. Works with almost all models of GPS

Weakness: If GPS power source plugs into bottom you are forced to angle your GPS upward making it harder to view the screen.

I have a TomTom ONE and the USB cable plugs into the bottom of the unit. This bumps into the weighted bag and makes you have to angle the GPS at about a 45% angle upward. This might make it hard to view for some. Without the cable plugged in it works fine.

Rock Solid GPS Dash Mount

Strengths: Easy and secure way to mount any GPS device. Very Portable. Easy way to move GPS out of view when existing vehicle.

Weakness: None that I have found yet.

I recently purchased the Nav-Mat primarily to eliminate the possibility of my new GPS losing suction from its' mount and falling onto the dash. Since purchasing the Nav-Mat I have found it to be an extremely stable device. At first I was skeptical about its' ability to remain stationary in a moving vehicle. However, with hard acceleration and stopping and turns that would send most anything else...

Only worked a little while

Strengths: Great AT FIRST

Weakness: Lousy, later on

I used this about 10x. At first, it worked well. Now the suction mounting of my Nuvi will no longer stick for more then a few seconds, THOUGH I HAVE CLEANED BOTH PARTS thoroughly. Tech support says to try Windex. I am sure it will make no difference.

Nav-Mat Portable Dash Mount

Strengths: Easy, fast and secure way to mount my portable GPS. Quick and easy transfer between vehicles. It stays put!

Weakness: Can't complain about anything. Love it!

Primarily used in a van that has windshield that is difficult to reach from driver position to place suction mount for GPS. In hot weather, suction often lets go at inopportune times. With this product, I no loners have to co9ncern myself about this problem. Great idea at a reasonable price. Thank you! Recommend for anyone who uses a portable GPS in their car. Daughter and wife love it too!

it does the job

Strengths: holds the GPS steady; works with any GPS

Weakness: it way be a bit bulky for cars with narrow dash boards

I have 2 cars: Toyota RAV4 and Honda Accord, so we need the dash mount at least for the portability. Besides portability, I can store the unit without windshield unmounting: protects from heat exposion or theft The principle of operation is the heavy weight of the mount which keeps it steady on its gravity on the dash even in the event of the sudden braking. There are no extra connectors of any...

Nav-Mat Portable GPS Dash Mount

Strengths: Does exactly what it is designed to do - anchor my GPS to my Dodge Dakota dash.

Weakness: None

Whoever thought of this device is a genius. The GPS stays rock solid on my dashboard. I bought 2 - one for my wife and she loves the steadiness and portability it provides. The price was great too.
