I wouldn't buy another Frigidaire Gallery

Strengths: Spin dry is fabulous. Stainless steel drum, large loads

Weakness: had to replace door locking mechanism 4 times. They now have a new design, but that cost even more having to replace the inner locking mechanism. Now the pump is shot.

The cost to repair these little things mount up. The pump will cost $100+ to put a new one in, along with the other issues, I have to get rid of it. I can buy a really nice washer for the money I've used to fix this one.

not worth reapir cost after only 4 years

Strengths: low price, front load convenience

Weakness: bearings shot, not worth fixing

very disappointed when the reapirman told me just use it till it quits, it is not worth fixing - will not buy Frigidaire again. I see now that all reviews are not great, I contacted Frifidaire and got no satisfaction.

What a gem!

Strengths: Quiet, energy efficient, low water usage, and easy to operate.

Weakness: Small socks get stuck under the glass in the door. Has trouble balancing loads with heavy bulky items such as blankets.

I purchased this washer to replace a 16 year old Whirlpool top loader that gave me many years of trouble-free use. It is rated a Consumer Reports Best Buy so I figured I can't go wrong with this gem. Hopefully, it will last me another decade or so. It is extremely quiet and uses so little water you have to take a flash light and shine it in the window to see it. Great Purchase

Strengths: It is quiet, and cleans very good compared to our last top loader.

Weakness: We haven't discovered any weaknesses yet.

We bought the matching washer and dryer and were planning on getting the storage units under the machines later. An appliance repairman told us not to do it because they are made out of plastic, they are expensive, and all machines tend to vibrate on them. So we are happy to leave this appliance duo on the floor.

Frigidaire GLTF2940 Washer

Strengths: Quiet. Many features. Consumer Reports Best Buy. Water conservation. Energy efficient. Rebate from our city for the water efficiency.

Weakness: Would have liked a digital display. Need to run the machine with just bleach once a month to remove all the soap that gets stuck in the front window.

Purchased this after seeing it as the Best Buy recommendation in Consumer Reports. Also purchased the matching dryer and two pedestals. Have been using it for a month now and it works just fine. Many strengths. Only concern is the reviewer who said it won't last past 7 years - a long way to go for that yet though. So far so good. Will update this post after some additional time has past.

Weakness: Smaller articles get stuck in the front window. Doesn't rinse as well as a top loader.

I got this after my Kenmore Elite top loader flooded my house (twice!). I wanted a front loader since they use less water and electricity and supposedly clean better than a top loader. Great value for the price

Strengths: A Consumer Reports Best Buy for front loaders. Nice set of features.

Weakness: Door must be left open to air out machine after use.

The washer performs well, using surprisingly little detergent which is in addition to the water efficiency. This unit is an Energy Saver model as well compared to my old GE top loader. The unit is very quiet and we could definitely see how much a deeper clean this gave our clothes. The biggest downside is the suds from using too much soap. Strengths: Does saves energy, it quiet, washer pretty good...have no problem

Weakness: It is not stackable however...your carpenter should able to improvice for you.

Great deal for small spaces. It's quiet and runs good. It washes pretty good. There's a switch to turn off the buzzer whereas ppl claimed to be loud. Overall performance is excellent. I recommend for this product. However, its not stackable, but you can ask carpenter to improvise..i did...saves me over $100.

Strengths: Great spin speed! The faster it spins the drier the clothes come out, the less energy you spend drying your clothes

We have had our set for 6 years and we have not had to have anyone come in for maintenance! Well worth the money we spent on them! As our house will be sold with the set, I will definitely be looking for another set to buy!
