Nikon Coolpix L12

Strengths: Pocket size, vibration reduction, easy to use

Weakness: Slow, flash takes a lot of time, battery operated

I bought this camera as a compact back up for my D50. Also I thought that it would be quite convenient to use the same memory card in my both cameras. The thing I really like about this camera is the vibration reduction. The pictures come out very descent. Overall it's a good camera for the price. It will satisfy someone who is on the go and wants to just take occasional shots. Professional...

good camera but slow

Strengths: compact, easy to use, AA batteries, good pictures, vibration reduction

Weakness: slow, slow, slow

I bought this camera for picture my 4 month baby. Size is right as compact. outshape is nice. Pictures are very good. Vibration reduction is good to catch my baby. However, the time between pictures are a little bit long, especially after flash the elongation is notable. Batteries life time is not long, especially when using flash, but it is easy to find AA batteries. Anyhow, it is the right...

Nikon L12

Strengths: open source connectors and batteries, easy operation, compact, great pictures, good quality movie mode

Weakness: hard on batteries, no optical view-finder

If given the option, i would have given it 4.5 stars. I have been very impressed with this camera so far after two weeks. The L12 does a great job of selecting an appropriate setting when in automatic mode, and though the manual controls (such as they are) in "scene mode" are limited, you won't find many other camera's in its form-factor and price range that offer more manual settings. If a more...

For Budget Buyers!!

Strengths: Quality pictures and easy to get spare batteries. Compact and light weight. VR works pretty good. Can Zoom when recording video mode.

Weakness: 8 seconds wait for flash shots and 2 seconds for non flash. No flash on continuous shooting but works well.

Best value for its price. You will need 2GB SD memory with 40x (4mb/secs) or better to have no lag on non flash pictures. Crucial SD works nicely even on multi shots. If price wasn't right this would be only a three star rating.

CoolPix L12 Silver Digital Camera

Strengths: Slim size with a nice 2.5" monitor. It also has 7.1MP of digital resolution.

Weakness: It does not come with memory card

I would strongly recommend this product; very good value for the price and all the features that comes with it; easy to carry camera, excellent for use at night and nice size of monitor to see pictures in more details.

Best deal for the features it offers

Strengths: D-lighting, Auto-Focusing, Minimize blur, Various image sizes, One touch portrait and Easy to operate.

Weakness: 5-6 seconds for flash in night mode, less vibration reduction.

This camera offers more features as compared to its price. Good D-lighting effect which adjusts the brightness accordingly. Auto Focusing supports face priority in portrait mode. Anti-shake mode help to minimize the blur. 7.1 Megapixel with various sizes option. I found it reasonable on batteries than my previous camera's and and has power saving modes. Approx 140 - 160 shots depends on mode you...

Easy camera!!

Strengths: AAA battery and easy to use

Weakness: Battery life if using Alkaline

Generally, it is great camera for family travel usage. Picture quality is good and movie function is very easy. Also VR function is effective in dark place. My only concern was shortage of battery life if using Alkaline. So I'm using Ni-MH for main battery and back up is Lithium. Finally, overall is very nice camera.

GOOD POINT AND SHOOT CAMERA

Strengths: Easy to use. Use AA battery, very easy to get. Internal memory. Free 2G SD card comes with the package.

Weakness: Slow. Short battery life. No viewfinder.

I bought this camera to replace my old olympus. What interest me is the size of the camera, plus VR function. Picture quality is good for outdoor and indoor. However, the camera is quite slow, especially after using flash.Overall, I'm satisfied with this camera

Nikon CoolPix L12 Digital Camera

Strengths: Compact size, very good quality pictures, very easy to use and with vibration reduction

Weakness: Use AA batteries, slow response

This camera is very compact in size and is an excellent choice for travelers. It delivers very good quality pictures and you can easily use it even without reading the manual (everything is very straight forward). It has the vibration reduction too, which is another plus. The thing I don't like it is it uses AA batteries and very slow after each flash. PS. do not believe the $5 bonus rebate by...

Nikon Coolpix L12

THE GOOD: Face-detecting autofocus, optical image stabilization good to see on a budget camera. THE BAD: No user control over ISO sensitivity; painfully slow flash recycle time. THE BOTTOM LINE: This budget camera includes a few surprising features, but its flaws outweigh its benefits.

Nikon Coolpix L12

The Nikon Coolpix L12 doesn't look like a digital camera made for kids but it's priced just right for them. And, with its optically stabilized lens, it's a great deal on a digital camera for anyone who enjoys composing images, and capturing the moment without having to worry about photographic science. But there's plenty of photographic science built into this digital camera. The Coolpix line has...

DCRP Review: Nikon Coolpix L12

The Coolpix L12 is a decent camera if you're doing mostly outdoor, bright light photography. If you'll be doing a lot of low light shooting, or want to minimize noise, then I'd steer clear of the Coolpix L12. <p> <p>
