Dewalt 18V XRP DC9096Strengths: Industrial strength Weakness: Too much for little around the house use. The batteries do not last because they do not get enough use. Industrial strength, but the 18V drill is a little too much for little around the house use. The batteries do not last as long as one thinks they should because they do not get enough use.

DeWalt DC9096-2 Heavy Duty XRP 18v Battery Twin Pack.Strengths: Great batteries. Fast charging, good power, long lasting. Weakness: Too expensive They're good batteries. They recharge fast, have plenty of power, and last a long time between charges. This set relaces a well used set that lastest several years with numerous recharging.

DeWalt - Simply the bestStrengths: Well built, high capacity, short charge time along with useability on many types of tools DeWalt reputation Weakness: None experienced to date I purchased this item to use with my DeWalt DC500 Multi-Volt Cordless/Corded Vac and have been most satisfied with the result. The batteries perform as expected and provide very good power when using the vac on battery power. They are built very well and have a high capacity (approximately 15 minutes of continual use). It used to be that it was more cost effective to buy new tool kits when the batteries were whipped as the tools themselves were close to on their way out as well. now, with the design of the tools (hammer drill in particular) more robust, it made more sense to replace the batteries as they usually last only 2 years of regular...
