midland wr300Strengths: The radio will do very well for a weather radio. Not too hard to program. Weakness: Do not buy for music the sound is bad.The clock is hard to read but keeps good time. Good radio for weather BUY it. Do not buy it for music or a clock if it is placed too far from you the numbers are too small to read from about 10 feet.

Keep Informed--Save Your Life!!Strengths: Customizable weather alerts for your immediate area--saves you from "false" alerts that don't apply. Easy to setup. Battery backup for power failures. Weakness: Batteries only last about 30hrs. Unit does NOT recharge rechargeable batteries. Great for informing you of impending disasters, nasty weather conditions, on-land or off-shore weather. Bought for hurricane and tornado warnings, as killer tornadoes passed within 25 miles of us a few weeks ago. Low-cost "insurance" against getting caught unawares. Nice little unit!

Midland Deluxe S.A.M.E. Weather Alert Radio WR300Strengths: Easy to program once you go online to the website to get the county codes. Multi-functional unit is a plus. Weakness: None I've discovered so far. Only received the unit yesterday. I had an older version of Midland's weather radio, and this by comparision is great. I would recommend this product to my family and friends. Midland weather radio's are suggested by our EOC manager as being good, reliable products
