Strengths: Much cheaper alternative to Olympus-branded battery.

Weakness: None that I have found so far.

I'm a new owner of an Olympus C-8080 and was in the market for a spare battery and found this MUCH cheaper alternative (I paid just over $15). I've used it for about a month now, and it seems to hold up as well as the original Olympus battery. It charged up much faster, too (using the Olympus charger). At this price, it's a no-brainer.

For example, the one for Nikon or KM with the same capacity costs about $10 more on the market. Strengths: Incredibly low price ($16.24 shipped) for the Delkin BLM-1 Rechargable Battery compared to an Olympus battery.

Weakness: No weakness yet and even if the battery powers my camera for 1/2 the shots of an Oly battery it's still a deal.

One of the ideas behind owning a digital camera is to save money on film & processing. If my only choice is to purchase a proprietary battery that cost $60 to $80 then saving somewhat limited. Thanks to Delkin for producing a generic battery for my Oly C-8080.

Strengths: Low price, fast charge, battery life is not bad.

Very affordable, only cost me around $19 from BUY.com, less than one third of original Oly battery's. Complete charging time is around 2 hours, while Oly's need 4 hours. The low-battery alarm appeared when I took 250 shots with this battery, but I still could take 50 more shots. It pretty comparable with my Oly original one(I can not took 500 shots as its claim). Reviiew for the Olympus BLM-1 battery for digital...

Strengths: hold lots of power - quality built - faster recharges than the Original one from Olympus.

Weakness: not found yet, may be not look like exactly the original? I do not count that a problem or weekness !

Look cool and well built, holds a lot of power compared to the original battery from Olympus, with just less than 1/3 cost. Takes only 2.5 hours to be fully recharged, while the original battery took a lot longer - like 5.6 hours. For long term reliability, I do not know yet, but so far I am very pleased with it !
