A convenient, portable BPM

Strengths: small, easy to carry in a purse / easy to use / the "APS" helps with proper positioning of the hand

Weakness: - maybe not as accurate as hand-cuff models

I bought this for my mom and all in all it is a good experience. It is easy to use and promptly shows results. As all wrist BPMs, it is sensitive to where you position your wrist in respect to the heart but the "Advanced Positioning Sensor" - as they called it - helps in that. What it makes sure with its beeping and arrows is that the cuff is at about 45-degree angle, which is you follow the...

Omron blood pressure monitor

Strengths: 1. easy to use. it has left and right hand options (2-button set). one button to measure. 2. position sensor helps a lot to determine the gesture

Weakness: 1. not really accurate but acceptable. the number may vary +- 5 between back-to-back measurement. 2. have the chance to give ridiculous results.

1. it is a convenient blood pressure monitor. It is good to check the Omron result with the doctor's measurement. 2. the position sensor pretty much sense the inclined angle of the arm, so it is good to place the hand on the chest to maintain consistency of the result. 3. I recommend it as a gift. That is also what I am gonna do with it.

Compact Easy to Use Writst Blood Pressure Monitor

Strengths: APS make it easy to find the correct position to get the accurate measurement; Compact; easy to use;

Weakness: It is not 100% acurate but that is the problem with all the wrist blood pressure monitor.

This can be a very good present for your parents. It is very easy to teach them to use it. It is very convinient especially in places with no heater during winter. The A.P.S. feature is a nice feature - it may not sound like much, but it works like a charm.

Compact design with useful features

Strengths: Compact and easy to use; APS; IntelliSence Sigma Cuff Technology for accurate reading; Irregular heartbeat detector; Date and Time feature; 90 Memory with averaging last three readings; convenient.

Weakness: The measurements may vary.

The good thing about a wrist blood pressure monitor is that it is very convenient especially in winter at a place without heater. The Advanced Position Sensor (APS) is very useful for my parents to get the correct measurement. The wrist monitor is not as accurate as the arm one. So the position of the monitor is very important. The automatically calculated average of the most recent 3...

Tiny and sensitive, outstanding product of Omron

Strengths: Ultraportable come with a small plastic box; Easy to use without any help; Large screen; Automatic measures average; Irregular heart beat detection; Reliable and repeatable result

Weakness: Less accurate than usual arm type; The operating interface is not that user-friendly; Seems data more trustable for thin costumer than fat ones

I have tried several different type of blood pressure monitor either from Omron or other manufacturer, either electronic piece or semi-manual ones, but never wrist type before. For the usual arm type, they are always very large and hard to use, simply because it is impossible to use right hand only to tighten the air band onto the right position of the left arm, this one is extremely easy not...

Omron HEM-650 wrist blood pressure

Strengths: User frienly, lightweigh, easy to read, accurate reading most of the time.

Weakness: Not consistant on reading accuretly every time.

I have been using the product for about 3 months. At the begining I had more trouble with getting accurate results, but now I know how to use it and I am pretty happy with the unit. I will buy this product again.

Works Well

Strengths: Accurate when you take multiple reading one after the other, Small, Easy to use, Gives indication if not in the correct position.

Weakness: None except that it may not be as accurate as the readings you get at the doctors office.

The device works well enough and I'm pleased with my purchase, it gives you pretty consistent results when compared to itself. I have not compared it with the doctor's results though so don't know if it is accurate in that respect. I like that this has an indication that tells you its not positioned correctly.

Pretty Good Device to Trend Your Blood Pressure

Strengths: Easy to use and has a good memory. Also, independent of whether you have high blood pressure or not, its sort of neat if you are an electronic gadget guy like me

Weakness: May not be as "exact" as taken by doctor or nurse

My dad got one of these about a year ago, since he has high blood pressure. Uses it to trend his condition and gets it read at his doctor about once a month. I got one and use it the same way because, although not high, my blood pressure runs borderline. The Omron 650 is so easy to use that getting into the habit of checking your blood pressure on a regular basis is difficult. I just pick the...
