Known fault with camera - preprare to be dissapointed

Strengths: Great size, lightweight, easy to use

Weakness: Lens error fault

Lens jams open and you have to send it back for warranty fix. this has happened twice and the camera has been out of operation for 2 months. Avoid this camera

Coolpix L3 is a good buy.

Strengths: Price. Easy to use for basics. Size. Decent options.

Weakness: No optical view finder. Short battery life. Slow flash reset.

I went to Target to get a camera to take pictures of the kids for the Christmas card. I told the salesman that I'd probably return the camera after a couple days and he didn't care. He said I might be surprised with the camera and I was. It's super easy to learn how to use and takes very good pictures too. I think some of the more expensive cameras have too many small buttons and dials for things...

it couldn't be worse...

Strengths: compact, light weight.

Weakness: failed on third day with a massage " Lens Error!"

Failed on third day with a massage " Lens Error!". I don't know about 30 words that I suppose to write, I just can say, that I will never buy Nikon product again

Great value for a nice 5M DC

Strengths: 5M, Good Color and Resolution

Weakness: Slow response, power button is too sensitive

Generally a good DC. Take nice pictures at most situations. In camera red-eye fix and D-lighting. You can crop the pictire in camera, even add voice to the picture. BSS function is very useful. It's a good buy for a low price of $138

Awesome!

Strengths: Color quality; Easy to use; Large monitor; Price

Weakness: I always have a little trouble getting the batteries out. Not a big deal.

This camera is awesome once you learn the ins and outs of using it. I was getting blurry pictures until I realized there was a "sports" shot I could use, then perfection! My photos have great color quality and blow up well into an 8X10. This camera is so great that even my five year old takes great pictures with it, NO KIDDING! She shakes the camera a bit when she holds it and the picture is...

Nikon L3

Strengths: Size, easy use

Weakness: Battery life

I bought this camera for my daughter, She has since taken hundreds of pictures with this camera and has found that it is easy to use and take great pictures. She has no issues with this camera other than the battery life, it does tend to go through the AA batteries rather quickly, but we did kind of expect that. All in all I would highly recommend this camera for anyone looking for a small,...

Great compact camera!

Strengths: *Credit-card size and about one-inch thin *5 megapixels

Weakness: *Some trivial features *No optical viewfinder *Little (3x) optical zoom

The Nikon Coolpix L3 digital camera slips easily into a pocket! It is less than one-inch thin and the lens retracts all the way, unlike the Coolpix L1 and L4. The 5.25 megapixel CCD allows for enlargements of about 8x10 inches! Some cons, though, are that there are some trivial features. For example, Face Priority AE, while it sounds impressive, doesn't work well and isn't really useful because...

Good camera with good features

Strengths: Excellent night shots (better keep it on a stable platform to avoid blur) Good video recording with sound Good features including auto blurr detection Good auto flash

Weakness: Low battery life and thats about it.

I bought this camera from Dell with a 20% off. But after using it, for few outings, my wife and myself are very happy with the product. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy to use camera with excellent picture quality. In short a good buy.

CoolPix L3 Nikon Camera

Strengths: Compact size, face focus feature, picture quality

Weakness: Battery life, close up picture

I was using 1.3 Mp Sony digital cam-recoder to take digital picture. I am very happy when I open the Coolpix L3 box. I have taken over 50 pictures in last 2 days. The picture quality were very good despite the day light or dim light conditions. The battery were run out very quickly under flash condition that may be the only weakness for this camera.

Nikon L3

Strengths: Excellent photos, solid build

Weakness: No optical viewfinder

This camera takes really nice pictures, uses secure digital cards which offer better value than other formats and uses regular AA batteries. It doesn't have an optical viewfinder though, only an LCD. The LCD resolution is also not very high, about 85,000 pixels.

Nikon Coolpix L2, L3 and L4 First Impressions Review

Some might call the new Nikon Coolpix L2, L3 and L4 “budget” cameras, though Nikon actually refers to them as their “Life” series. They provide sensors of 6, 5.1, and 4 megapixels respectively, and still offer good functionality with Nikon’s Exclusive Feature System for a price as low as $149.95, in the case of the L4. (The L3 lists for $199.95 and the L2 goes for $249.95.) All three...
