Supplies up to 3600 watts of continuous 230V AC power from any 36V battery or automotive DC source. When hardwire AC input is energized, commercial power passes through to connected equipment and the battery set is recharged via 3 stage, 30 amp charging system. In UPS mode, the APS system responds to blackouts and severe voltage fluctuations with a near instantaneous automatic transfer to battery-derived AC output. Includes a set of high current DC input terminals for simple installation (user supplies batteries and cabling - see owner's manual for recommendations). Passes sine wave utilty or generator power during battery charging and UPS line power operation, plus efficient PWM sine wave AC output in inverter and UPS backup modes. Built-in Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects line power AC brownouts and overvoltages without using battery power during battery charging and UPS standby modes. Reliable large transformer design, with frequency control powers resistive electronic loads or large inductive motors, compressors and other items with high current needs on startup. Included APSRM4 wired remote power switch with full status LEDs provides remote Summary Product Title: Tripp Lite Aps Powerverter Int Apsint3636vr Power Inverter W/Charger Manufacturer: Tripp Lite Power Score: 1.0 | 2 Reviews Additional Specifications Frequency Band: DC Input: Requires 36 VDC input source capable of delivering 114 A AC Input: 230 VAC AC Output: 230 VAC nominal DC Charger Output: 36 VDC nominal DC Input connection type: Set of DC bolt-down terminals AC Input connection type: Hardwire via built in junction box with cover plate Cooling method: Fan Transfer time from line power to battery mode: 4 to 6 milliseconds Low voltage transfer to battery power: User configurable to 144V, 163V, 182V & 201V High voltage transfer to battery power: User configurable to 259 to 278V Frequency control for operating stability Resettable circuit breaker protects APS against system overload RJ45 port allows connection of APS remote switch (part# APSRM) Switch allows user to select between off, auto-invert and charge-only settings Advanced 30 amp, 3-stage battery charger and selector switch for gel or wet cell batteries Allows unlimited runtime capability by allowing the use any number of user-supplied batteries Battery runtime is dependent upon the size and number of user-supplied batteries in 36-volt configuration Overload protection: Includes 12 A input breaker dedicated to the charging system and 20 A output breaker for AC output loads Output Voltage: 36 V DC Humidity: 0% to 95% Non-condensing Relative Humidity Operating Input Current: 30 A @ 230 V AC Switching Time: 6 ms Temperature: 32F (0C) to 104F (40C) Operating Product Series: APS Reviews on Tripp Lite Aps Powerverter Int Apsint3636vr Power Inverter W/Charger

Don't buy - no factory supportStrengths: well constructed Weakness: doesn't last My APS2424 unit is less than 3 years old. After replacing batteries I found the unit will not charge them. After talking to Tripplite technical support I am told they do not have any repair facilities here in the US and there are no other options except to buy new. Don't buy Tripplite products! Tripplite did contact me about my issue and I was able to negotiate a replacement unit for a reasonable price. While I am disappointed it failed in the first place, the company did step up.
