Had Mine Since 1990... Outstanding Budget Manual K-Mount SLR

Review:  'kay, got in to photography years ago, and was looking for a used Pentax 1000 "student camera". This was pre-eBay days. Well, the cost of a used, dinged, dented, Pentax 1000 was twice the price of this "K-Mart Special", the Vivitar. So, rather than take my chances with a 15 year old used camera I bought this. Think mine is the 3000"S" but their virtually the...

V3800N SLR Manual Focus Camera Kit
Strengths: Simple to operate. Fully manual operation allows full control for the user.
Weaknesses: Not for the casual photographer.
Review:  If you are reading reviews for a Manual SLR Camera, then it is assumed that you know what you are looking for. This is not a point and shoot camera. It uses 35mm film and requires the user to set exposure, focus, etc. for each picture taken. In that regard it is excellent for photography students who need those features. It includes a 10 second self timer and a light meter. The light meter does...
