My first bread maker; excellent machine.Strengths: Low carb bread is very gtood, as are all breads in the recipe book. Weakness: Setting window can be difficult to read when the machine is on a counter top This is my first bread machine, and I find it is excellent. I especially like the low carb feature, and my son loves the white bread in the recipe booklet. One thing to look out for: the mesuring cup that comes with the machine is actually one cup and a half. The only breads I did not do well where cause by my not noticing this, and adding way to much flour to the recipes. I now us my own cups, and have not missed one baking since. 89% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

JUNKStrengths: Visually appealing Weakness: Doesn't make bread I bought this item in June 2009. In July 2009 I contacted Cuisinart because I'd only used it twice and it broke. The paddle wouldn't spin. They advised me that I could mail it back to them with a cheque for them to mail me a new one. This being completely ludicrous that I would pay shipping for this substandard machine that I already forked out $120 on, they agreed to pay the shipping. When I received the second Cuisinart breadmaker, I pulled it out of the box and the lid immediately fell off and a screw fell onto the floor. It was mottled with pry marks and dents. I again contacted Cuisinart and they arranged to have it picked up at my house again and then mailed me a third breadmaker. The third breadmaker I used only twice as the pan kept popping out of place and therefore the dough would not mix. AGAIN, I contacted Cuisinart and they informed me that since I had struck out with 3 of the same appliance, they would NOT send me another breadmaker but I could choose any item(s) from their website of equal or greater value. If the value was greater however, I had to send them a cheque to cover that value. If I decided on an item of lesser value, I would NOT receive a cheque, I would just lose that money. They will not refund my money. I am still trying to speak to a manager of their service department, but after 4 requests I am still being refused. I will never buy another Cuisinart product. I actually regret buying all of the cuisinart appliances and cookware that I have purchased based on this ridiculous experience. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Cuisinart CBK-200 2-lb Convection Automatic Bread...Strengths: Have not yet found any I have not yet baked the perfect loaf in this new breadmaker, although they have been certainly edible. However, I tried baking banana nut bread and was horrified to find that the bread was ruined because it was burnt and did not rise at all. This quick loaf I was forced to throw out and I am reluctant to try another quick bread. The Cuisinart is my third bread machine so I have plenty of experience baking bread in it. 69% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

It works!Strengths: It gives you choices like the size, type of crust, and it is easy to handle Weakness: Doesn´t have an on-off button. The instructive makes you feel paranoic and nervous, says everthing works like chemistry.... This is my first bread maker. Before even taking the machine out of its box, I read all the instructive, and I felt it wasn´t an easy thing to do. I followed all the steps, as I read them, and I got a my first pound and a half perfect loaf. That gave me certainty to continue with another recipe. My second 2 lb loaf was also perfect. I still need to know more the machine, for example the delay mode, and the mix-ins button. Was disturbing for me not having a on-off button, because just unplugging the machine gives me a sense of not right...but everything else seems ok. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Don't buy this one!
Strengths: Some people will like the stainless steel exterior
Weakness: pan does not seat down properly, recipes all need to be adjusted, has baked many bricks and over-proofed loaves. Flour in the corners, pan does not seat down properly, very large machine-too big.
I have used breadmakers (several loaves a week) for 17 years and this is the worst. I have adapted recipes for other machines and am unable to do that for this machine. Even the recipes which came with it are not successful.
