Surprisingly quiet!
Strengths: Very quiet! Easily holds a weeks worth of trash from a family of 4!

Our kitchen had a trash compactor when we bought it. I replaced a working compactor only because I was changing my appliances to black. Boy was I surprised by the difference in the new compactor! It is so much quieter. I had not realized that the old one made such a racket until I used the new one. This appliance also holds so much trash! We tend to be a "trashy" family but we have never emptied the compactor more than once a week. The bags are strong and easy to insert. I am pleased.
