Yummy Yummy Yummy in my Kitties' Tummies...

I found these when looking for an all natural treat for my 3 cats (how much more "natural" can you get than "freeze dried chicken"). I was buying the cat version (17gr) but was going through the small bags very quickly. My one boy - Starbucs - goes CRAZY - for them - he will sit, try to give me his paw and then LEAP up for them (we say he thinks he's a dog in a cat's body), sometimes trying to swipe them out of my hand. My 15 yr old, with arthritis in her hind legs has been known to get up on her hind legs and beg for them and my middle cat, who will be on her hinds, but has never been one to take food from our hands, will eat these from our hands. Anyway, as I was saying, after going through the small bag every two to three weeks, I got the smart idea to make sure the dog treats contained the same one ingredient of freeze dried chicken, which it does, and started buying those - a much better deal. Yes, they are bigger, but I always broke up the smaller ones anyway in order to make my babies think they were getting more treats, yet at the same time trying to watch the caloric intake.

My dog loves these!

These are great training treats! They easily break into very small pieces and one bag lasts such a long time!

PureBites Freeze Dried Dog Treats

We discovered these natural treats about six months ago through a friend. Our English Golden Retriever went crazy over them! I've never seen her react this way to anything! We love the fact that there are no added ingredients since she has UBS. They make a fantastic training tool, also, since dogs will do just about anything to get one!

PureBites Natural Freeze Dried Chicken

Although listed as a dog treat my cat adores this produce. An aging Siamese, she had lost interest in most food offerings. I was cooking steamed chicken for her meals and she was even leaving it untouched. A friend was using these treats for her dog. I took a few sample pieces home for Chrismiss and we turned the old cat around. Chris comes around poking me to give her cookies. When she is unable to tolerate her poached chicken, she can eat these freeze dried treats. We have brought her weight back up to a healthy standard and she has a reason to prowl around looking for cookies. My firend's little dog comes racing into the office each morning to get her treats. Again an old animal whose life is vastly improved by this great treat. The product is a little more expensive than other packaged treats, but it is PURE CHICKEN. A healthy food with no strange additives. Chrismiss and Jazzy strongly recommend this treat.

Good stuff, HEALTHY

My dogs will eat these treats until they die of dehydration except the cheese. They ate half the bag and then lost interest? But I gave them fresh cheese after that and they were all over it so I'm not sure what happened there.

Yummy

Old dog has only a few teeth, but freeze-dried product breaks down easily in the mouth. The chicken is even more delicate.

Freeze dried treats

I bought three varieties through the online store and had them shipped. The beef and cheese came through fine but the chicken was all in little pieces. My dog is overweight and our vet suggested freeze dried treats as they are so low fat. She's been on a diet for a month and has lost three pounds, which is great since she was at 27 pounds and is suppose to be at twenty. We love giving her treats but the pupperoni was like eating seven or eight snickers a day!

Good but crumbly

For a puppy, we had to break them in halves or thirds and still our puppy made lots of crumbs when munching them. Yummy, even with the problems, according to our puppy.
