Sony TCM150 Cassette Voice Recorder

Strengths: light weight, seems durable, good price, simple to operate. I particularly like the "pause" button

Weakness: no option for external microphone or AC power, no ability to adjust recording volume

A nice little machine for very basic recording. Sound quality is OK but there is a buzzing noise in the background of all my recordings so far. It appears necessary to have the built in microphone fairly close to the mouth when recording speech. When the machine is put on a table to record conversation between more than one speaker they need to talk fairly loudly to have an easily understandable recording--this is best for recording from a single person rather than a conversation.

THE BRAND NAME TELLS EVERYTHING, AS IT ALWAYS IS

Strengths: GOOD SOUND QUALITY FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY, EASY TO USE

Weakness: IF YOU ARE EXPECTING SOME HIGH TECH PRODUCT YOU SHOULD BUY A HIGHER MODEL

MY MUM WANTED A NOT TOO EXPENSIVE CASSETTE RECORDER. I WANTED TO BUY A BRAND NAME FOR HER. I SAW THE SONY RECORDER WITH A GOOD PRICE ON PRICEGRABBER. SHIPMENT ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY. SIMPLE & EASY OPERATION, PERFECT FOR BEGINNER USE. IT HAS ALL NECESSARY FUNCTION SUCH AS PLAY, RECORD, STOP, REWIND AND FAST FORWARD. LARGE SPEAKER, WHICH IS IN THE FRONT, WITH THE CASSETTE WINDOW DISPLAY. THIS HELPS A LOT. SOME CASSETTE RECORDERS HAVE WINDOW ON ONE SIDE, WITH THE SPEAKER ON THE OTHER. WITH THIS RECORDER, YOU CAN LISTEN AND RECORD WITH THE PLAYER ON IT'S BACK. RECORDS CLEAR VOICE.

Sony TCM-150 Cassette Recorder

Strengths: The Sony brand name and reputation in recording at a great price; Simple to use: Ideal for my application!

Weakness: Seems a little "light weight" in construction; hopefully it will have a decent lifespan. No AC input.

I bought this to record my son's guitar lessons and practices. I was looking for a low cost, simple to use recorder with full size cassettes so he can play them back through his "boom box". This is going to work great. We already tested it out and it picks up his electric guitar and my bass nice and clear. It will be a big help for him to listen back on his playing and correct his mistakes. Maybe we will even capture a few "magic" moments.

Sony TCM150 Cassette Voice Recorder

Strengths: very cheap and a functional one;using standard cassettes

Weakness: very poor sound quality, hissing in tape noise, poorly manufactured

This is definitely the best recorder you can buy under sony brand at this price. I just needed a recorder, and only could accept a price under 20 bucks. So I bought this one from amazon, and it got the job done.that is all. Don't expect too much from it. forget about the things like sound quality, you know, it is a plastic one.anyway,But i still think it is a good buy. However, in my homeland, China, you can get a record alike, of course not under sony brand, at about 5 bucks.

Sony TCM150 Cassette Voice Recorder

Strengths: large speaker with loud sound. good for old people.

Weakness: recording quality seems to be below the normal one.

Though I purchased this recorder for one week, I used a lot and know it quite well. As I mentioned above its strengths and weaknesses, I like its sound but not the recording quality. There seems to be with some noises when I play back the recorded conversation.

Sony TCM-150 Cassette Recorder

Strengths: takes bumps and lumps and seems indestructible; good sound quality, great price

Weakness: none

This is an excellent machine at any price, but especially at this cost. It does not have bells and whistles, but it is a workhorse. It has been left out in the rain, dropped in the hot tub, and has been dropped on the ground numerous times, but it continues to play fine.

Sony TCM-150 Cassette Recorder

Strengths: quite small; clear speaker; easy to use;

Weakness: a little fragile; no AC power connection

I bought this Sony TCM-150 recorder from Amazon. It is very cheap and function quite well. I use it to record my English speaking and correct some pronunciation. I like it very much. It has an excellent pause key. This key give me more convenience. Sony is a good brand, so I strongly recommend to buy it if you don't want to spend much money on recorder.
