Nikon TC14E II 1.4x TeleconverterStrengths: sharpness of images, ease of use, replaces longer, more cumbersome lenses. Weakness: prices sharpness of images, ease of use, replaces longer, more cumbersome lenses. I prefer to stick with Nikon brands so as to assure comformity. Strengths: size and weight along with image quality when used with 70-200VR lens...
Weakness: cost
I went with the Nikkor 1.4X TC since I had VR lenses and for the VR function to work I had to use Nikkor Teleconverters... This TC delivers sharp contrasty images along with the same responsiveness on the 70-200VR as if there were no TC on the lens...
I also enjoy the extra reach from this TC...
