Price good, Quality also good, but some cons...Strengths: good price; works well; proper size - not too big; easy cleaning due to removable plates Weakness: different temperature between lower and upper plates; sometimes too quick for grilling This grill is my first one from George Foreman - and in general this is a good purchase for the price. But, it could be a little bit better if some cons mentioned above were fixed. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Geaorge Foreman Next Grilleration Grill with...Strengths: The grill does what it says - nothing more/nothing less. Removeable plates make cleanup simple. Reduces cooking with oils. Does take up counter space - not a big deal if you have a lot of counter - but if like me, you'll not use as frequently if you must extricate from closet for each use. 100% of readers found this review helpful. George Foreman Next Grilleration Removable Plate...Strengths: Appearance, Removable grills for cleaning (finally) Weakness: None I've been cooking hamburgers and chicken breasts on a George Foreman for years and the grill has been great for that purpose but for one thing....cleaning it. I ruined the surface of my old grill using one of the G.F. sponges made specifically for that purpose. This one has removeable grills that easily remove and reattach for cleaning. It cooks uniformly and well. The food doesn't come out quite as tasty as on a an outdoor grill, but for a quick meal with minimum fuss and bother, these are great. With the removeable grills, the one big "problem" with them has been resolved. 88% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

George Foreman GRP4 Grilling MachineStrengths: Grilling plates easy removable for cleaning. Large grilling surface. Weakness: Did nof find any. This is a very good grill. I was considering to buy a grill for some time and was told to buy only one with removable plates. I am glad I did. It is so easy to clean plates after they are removed from the grill. Also the design of the grill makes the fat to be removed from the cooked food to the tray so that it is much healthier. Overall I am completely satisfied with this grill. 67% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

George Foreman GrillStrengths: Easy Cleanup, Great Flavor Retained. Weakness: Top cover gets hot. I had a great exprience with previous George Foreman Grill products in the past, but cleaning it up was pain. Now these removal plates are very easy to clean and they give you a edged sponge as well. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

love the removeable platesStrengths: easy to clean Weakness: the hinges are a bit wobbly This grill is a big improvement from the first generation George Foreman grill. The removeable plates make clean up much easier. the size is almost the same as the first release except this is horizontal instead of vertical. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? George Foreman Grilling Machine with Removable...
Strengths: Removable grill plates, easy to clean
Weakness: Smaller grill surface
I've owned an older model, the "Family Size Plus" model GR26CB, for several years. The results have always been great, but as is the complaint of many other users, cleanup was tedious. I saw an opportunity to get this model at a very good price, so I decided to make the switch.
The first thing that struck me was the smaller grilling surface. There are so many models of the George Foreman grills, it can be confusing. I purchased this grill online, so I went by the fact this model was listed as a "4 burger" size (with 72" of grilling surface).
I'm not sure what criteria the manufacturer uses to determine that 4 burger description, as I was unable to locate info about what size burger they used to arrive at that statistic.
In reality, I found this unit accommodates 3 standard-size burgers. Additionally, I would guess it will only accommodate 2 of the commercially pre-formed burger patties. It's been my experience those patties have a larger diameter than a burger I would shape by hand. The pre-formed patties usually shrink down a bit, but initially, they're larger than the burgers I prepare by hand, so I'm expecting this grill will only accommodate 2 of the commercially-formed burgers at a time.
The manufacturer describes my older "Family Size Plus" model as being a "5 Plus" burger grill (with 84" of grilling surface). The reality again was different - only 4 standard-size burgers fit on that grill.
This could be an issue for a family needing/wanting 4 burgers that are not appetizer or child-size.
When it comes to chicken breasts, I was able to get 3 half-breasts on the older grill, but only 2 on this new grill. Again, it may be an issue for a family of more than 2.
The removable nonstick grill plates are THE best improvement, long overdue. They are advertised as dishwasher-safe, although it's now just as simple/easy to pop them out and wash them by hand. They don't need to go in the dishwasher, but it's nice to know it's possible.
This model comes with a specialized sponge to clean the grill, but honestly, cleanup was so simple with just a regular kitchen sponge, I haven't even bothered to open the cleaning sponge that came in the package.
Also, it appears the nonstick surface is improved from the older model. The older model requires much more effort to remove the grilled-on bits in the cleanup process. This new model wiped clean with a quick pass of the included-spatula and a damp paper towel.
I discovered I had received a package that was missing one of the drip trays. It came with only one tray, which surprised me because the older grill had come with 2 trays (and 2 spatulas). After referring to the Salton company website, I discovered this model is described as having 2 drip trays, but apparently only 1 spatula. I found a toll-free number on the website, so I called the company about the drip tray discrepancy. I was told to expect the missing tray within "7-14 business days."
I would give this product a full five stars if it weren't for the discrepancy between the advertised number of burgers these grills can accommodate, and the reality. It really is a great product, and now that it has the removable grill plates, it's the ideal product for those who like the ability to grill year-round, without having to use an outdoor grill.
