Canon NB-4L Rechargeable Camera Battery

Because my new SD 300 does not have enough battery when i am taking the pictures therefore i bought this new batter and found that it is a pretty good battery for Cannon Powershot SD300, just like the original one but with low low price.

Quality battery

Strengths: Good Quality

Weakness: None

I bought this as a backup battery for my SD750. i like to keep an extra battery just in case the battery goes out on you when you are on a holiday. This is an original canon battery and much better than OEM batterys in the market. It holds charge well and lasts really long. Since OEM batterys can leak and do not come with an performance gurantee I perfer buying canon originals.

Canon NB - 4L battery pack

Strengths: Sleek, ultra-compact & has good life..

Weakness: some suggest that you can go for 960mAh battery for more shots but haven't tried that...

Wanted to have an extra battery for my camera was a must when going to day-long trips.. This was handy & was lasting same number of shots as the original I got with the camera. Overall good product.

Weakness: more expensive than generic

To stated the obvious: Canon branded battery works just like the original that came with my camera. I expect that the capacity/price ratio of generics will only increase... I bought one of those too, so I'll post a comparison when I've had more time with both.

Strengths: The battery works as well as the one that came with the camera. It is completely compatible with my camera and charger. The delivery was on time and as described.

Weakness: The battery only has 600 mAh, which is a measure of it's capacity. You can get 900 mAh batteries that are also compatible with the Canon cameras.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of the product and the promptness of delivery. However, if I had known about the higher capacity batteries, I may have purchased them instead. It should be noted that the high capacity batteries are significantly more expensive.

Strengths: Good battery life.

Weakness: No sure about longer term performance

The battery was shipped to me from Hong Kong and seemed to be the Asia version since it was printed with Japanese. It took less than 1 hour to fully charge the battery (to about 4 Volts when done). I then took a 3-minute video using my Canon SD300 camera and played it back on the camera for three minutes. The voltage was still 4 volts even after I took a few shots with flash.

A must have item!

Strengths: Nice and light, Canon quality

Weakness: none

Even though this battery is a little more expensive than the generics you can get, I still went with the Canon. There's no substitute for having an original backup battery in your camera bag, ready to go if you need it. Plus, there are so many X brand batteries out there. I don't want to destroy my $400 camera because I was too cheap to spend an extra $20 on batteries.

Strengths: Very good battery life. Nice affordable price.

I bought this for my Canon SD-300 and it works beautifully. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a backup battery for your camera.

Go generic

Strengths: can be higher mAh

Weakness: the unknown vs. branded

Need an extra battery for our trip to Indonesia, and considered the Canon-branded battery, but thought I'd take a chance on the generic battery since it was MUCH less expensive and the seller (SF Planet) was selling a 1,000 mAh battery as opposed to the Canon being rated at 600 mAh.

So far, in the few weeks of use, the generic has performed as well, if not better, than the Canon-brand battery that came with the camera. Well worth the (tiny) investment.

This is a generic, however, I feel that there is no difference from canon battery which I already had. This battery lasts a long time. high recommended!!

Having an extra battery for my camera is great. I never have to worry about it especially when on vacation and you want to capture the moment. It's was worth the purchase and I highly recommend it.

Weakness: None known.

Since this is a Canon battery and not a generic, I feel that this battery will last a long time. However, that is not proven quite yet. Time will tell!
